Credentialing Study Group Facilitator

Brenda Dorsett, CMT, received her Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from San Diego State University in 1992 working as a computer analyst and then Certificate of Competency in Medical Transcription in 1999 from Southwestern Community College. She has been a member of AHDI since 1999 and full-time transcriptionist for over 7 years.

She became a CMT in 2009 and enjoys helping others with their endeavors through mentoring, teaching, and her own continued professional development in the transcription industry.

Brenda was born in Minnesota, lived in the San Diego area for over 20 years, and has taken up residency in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Brenda enjoys music and has been a member of regional music groups in Lake Havasu City. She also likes to travel, spend time with her family and dogs, and collects musical powder boxes
